JOHN MURRAY

PRESIDENT, FOUNDER, & CO-OWNER

John founded Advantage in 1987, and after retiring as the winningest wrestling coach in Ithaca College Wrestling’s 65 year history in 1995, he devoted himself to growing the company into one of the most successful commercial fitness businesses in the United States alongside his business partner, John Pfuntner.

JOHN PFUNTNER

VP, DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS, & CO-OWNER

Partnering with John Murray in 1993 to lead our business operations, John built the inner workings of Advantage and he is always working on our next big systematic improvement. John’s role combines his business and engineering expertise, and his leadership provides strength and stability to our team.

Joining Advantage in 2009, John’s keen business sense and wealth of experience in the industry help him guide others with confidence and purpose. John leads our sales team in Virginia, the Carolinas, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

Larry’s 20+ years of experience and his “Design First” approach to viewing and programming fitness spaces are how he creates award winning wellness amenities for his clients and their end-users. With an attention to detail and hands-on project management style, Larry coordinates the process to flow smoothly from beginning concepts through completion.

Matt joined Advantage in 2007 and quickly grew into a leadership role. Known throughout our company as a go-to for industry knowledge, Matt leads our sales team in Upstate New York & New York City, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
