Nestled on the banks of the Chattahoochee River near Atlanta, The River Club is a gated golf community and nature reserve, offering residents an idyllic natural environment and a host of premium amenities. Their Lakeside Sports Complex recently underwent a complete renovation and expansion, and we were honored to design and install a sophisticated, modern-yet-classic fitness amenity for them.
Earlier this month we hosted a customer event in Atlanta — our second in the ATL over the last three years. These events have become one of our favorite ways to connect with local customers, highlight our company’s services and strengths, and feature the latest and greatest in our fitness equipment portfolio.
For this event, we were fortunate enough to be able to use the Amer Sports offices and showroom in West Midtown as our venue. Amer is the parent company of internationally recognized brands, including Precor, Suunto, Arc’teryx, Salomon, Peak Performance, Atomic, and Wilson. Their showroom was the perfect starting point to build upon as we worked to create a signature ASF Experience. With a nod to current gym design trends, we brought in living plants and sheer floor-to-ceiling drapery to accentuate and elevate the décor. The showroom’s unstained plank walls and coated concrete floor complimented our vision perfectly.
Over the course of two days, we hosted 35+ individuals representing 19 different development companies, health clubs, recreation facilities, and schools. Attendees were given the opportunity to test-drive our selection of premium fitness equipment, interact with several members of our team, and discuss everything from fitness design trends to the strategies behind increasing exerciser engagement.
Fitness solutions featured at the event included a full range of Precor’s premium Experience Series™ cardio with mix-and-match consoles, Discovery and Vitality (dual-exercise) strength stations, and a Discovery half rack with adjustable bench. Complimenting these pieces were our latest range of interactive fitness products: the Aviron rower, Expresso GO bike, and Escape Fitness MARS screen. Our accessory lineup featured Escape Fitness kettlebells, GRIPRs, corebags, TIYRs, plyoboxes, and more.
To facilitate facility design and customization options, we published an “Atlanta Fitness Expo” walk-up screen on our networked cardio consoles and brought in a variety of color and material sample kits, including Precor Discovery strength upholstery, Ecore athletic flooring, and logo’d bumper plates. Our 2019 look books were also on hand to spark some fresh ideas in the minds of our guests.
It was a strong showing for Team Advantage, and we can’t wait to bring the same energy and experience to our events scheduled for this October!

2018 was a rewarding year all around, as we got the opportunity to work on many great facilities. From converted racquetball courts, to corporate wellness centers, to expansive student recreation facilities, we did it all this year! Check out this list of our most impressive installs from 2018!
Hackley School is a private preparatory school focused on academic excellence and building a strong community among students, faculty, and staff. The new Walter C. Johnson Center for Health & Wellness is a 115,00 square foot facility featuring sunlit common areas, a healthy café, three basketball courts, wrestling and fencing facilities, two fitness rooms, and much more. Hackley worked with Advantage Sport & Fitness to design an impressive Precor-filled fitness center and a state-of-the-art strength and functional training room.
The Atlantic Apartments on Avenue of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia put a heavy emphasis on the design of their luxury fitness center. From the light box windows to marble columns, not a detail was spared on the interior - especially in the equipment. The black & white aesthetic carried through, with the latest Precor Black Pearl colorway p82 cardio pieces to the Discovery Line selectorized and plate loaded Precor strength equipment.
Marist College created a brand-new fitness center as part of a four-building housing expansion on the north end of campus. This fitness center came about as a multi-step effort to relieve the pressure on the campus’ only gym, the James A. McCann Recreation Center, and increase fitness opportunities for students.
This new facility features tile floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, a dance and group exercise studio, and a mix of 37 cardio machines. Thirteen treadmills, ten ellipticals, and four AMT’s with Precor’s best-in-class P82 touchscreens allow for networked goal-tracking throughout the facility. To round out the cardio selection, ten interactive Expresso Go Bikes line the wall.
Olympus Corporation conducted a survey to determine how their employees wanted to use unoccupied space at their U.S. headquarters in Center Valley, PA. Their response was clear: a workplace fitness center. Now officially named “Mount Olympus,” the fitness center celebrated its grand opening in May 2018. The fitness center features Precor 800 Line cardio equipment, Precor Power Racks, functional training area, a WellBeats room, and Expresso Go Bikes.
