IFH TEAMS UP WITH HEALTH INSURANCE GIANT, HUMANA

Interactive Fitness Holdings (IFH), owner of the popular Expresso bike, have announced a partnership with Humana, the third largest health insurance provider in the nation. Now, riders of the expresso bikes can earn Vitality Points™ by synching their Expresso account to their HumanaVitality® account. The more a user rides the Expresso, the more Vitality points the rider earns.

HumanaVitality® is a rewards-based wellness program offered to those covered by Humana Insurance.  It is meant to motivate people to stay on a path toward healthier living.  The rewards, Vitality Points™, can be spent at the Humana Vitality mall, where the insured can earn hotel stays, digitals cameras, and more.  Expresso knows better than anyone the power of engaging users in an exercise program, and both companies are excited to partner together to help people lead healthier lifestyles.

“This joint venture fits perfectly with Humana’s consumer-focused strategy that integrates health, wellness and lifelong well-being as our platform for future growth,” said Michael B. McCallister, Humana’s chairman of the board and chief executive officer, to Business Wire. Considering Humana insures over 14 million people, it is likely many of them will be able to take part in this new partnership.
